The cigars are perfectos, tapered at both ends, measuring 5 1/2 inches long by 54 ring at their plumpest points, the middle of the cigar. The Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2023 shape was created by Oliva owner Frederik Vandermarliere, of Vandermarliere Family of Cigars. Unlike traditional Melanios, it’s in the round, rather than box pressed. Like other Melanios, the cigars are made from a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos with Ecuadoran wrappers. The Production of the Figuriño is limited to 14,500 boxes, each containing 10 cigars. The inner lid of the box shows Oliva’s Hacienda de Ernesto, a tobacco field and operation in Jalapa, Nicaragua. Each box has a QR code that will link to a story behind the release.
